Nara

We stayed a few days in the beautiful Nara during the past week. Japan's first permanent capital, today the city has an estimated population of 370,000. Nevertheless, due to its past, it remains full of historic treasures, including some of Japan's oldest and largest temples.
We took the shinkansen at Shin Yokohama station and after two hours of comfortable trip we reached Kyoto (distance: about 440 km). Then, we finally arrived to Nara in further 40 min.
